東京都出身。大学時代を過ごしたカリフォルニアでヨガに出会う。その後拠点をハワイに移し、ヨガインストラクターとしての道を歩みはじめる。形にとらわれないスタイルが支持され、ハワイを代表するインストラクターとして数々のイベントに出演。当時からアンバサダーを務めていたルルレモンの日本法人立ち上げを任され2015年に日本に帰国。ルルレモンの「達人」兼ブランドマネージャーとして、イベントの企画やブランディグ戦略などに携わり、日本での認知度アップに貢献した。また帰国直後から日本でもトップインストラクターとして数々のイベントやメディアに出演。2018年、ルルレモンから独立したと同時に、アジア初のルルレモン「カントリーアンバサダー」に抜擢された翌年、東京・原宿にIGNITE YOGA STUDIOをオープン。独自のメソッドで展開されるモダンスタイルなヨガスタジオは、年齢や性別問わず多くの人から支持されている。 2020年にコロナ禍で実施したクラウドファンディングでは1800名以上から支援され、オンラインスタジオを立ち上げる。スタジオ外でも、Four Seasons Otemachiや、Shangri La Hotelなどでレッスンを展開中。また2021年、オリジナルアルバム「IGNITE -A Journey into your soul」をリリース。様々な分野で活動の場を広げている。ヨガだけでなく、サーフィン、トライアスロン、スノーボードなど、アクティブな趣味を持ち、フルマラソンは3時間45分で完走。鉄人レースと言われる長距離トライアスロン、アイアンマンレースでは12時間15分で完走した経験もある。2022年2店舗目となるスタジオを下北沢reloadに出店。最近では活動の拠点を日本から海外へと広げている。

Juri Edwards was born in Tokyo who spent her youth also in the US. Her first encounter with yoga during her time studying Chapman University in California. After she moved her base to Hawaii and began her journey as a yoga instructor. Her style, which emphasized freedom from rigid forms, gained significant support, propelling her to become a renowned instructor in Hawaii, where she made appearances in numerous events. In 2015, Juri was entrusted with the responsibility of launching the Japanese branch of lululemon, Taking on the role of “Tokyo Maven” and brand manager, she contributed to the company's increased recognition in Japan by actively participating in event planning and implementing branding strategies. Soon after her return to Japan, Juri made appearances as a top instructor in various events and media outlets.

In 2018, Juri decided to part ways with lululemon and was subsequently selected as the first lululemon "Country Ambassador" in Asia. Building on her success, she opened IGNITE YOGA STUDIO in Harajuku, Tokyo, introducing her unique and modern approach to yoga. Juri's studio quickly gained popularity and attracted a diverse range of practitioners, irrespective of age or gender.

During the challenging period of the pandemic, Juri initiated a crowdfunding campaign that received support from over 1800 individuals. This support enabled her to establish an online studio, providing yoga enthusiasts with the opportunity to practice from the comfort of their homes. In addition to her studio activities, Juri conducts lessons at renowned establishments such as Four Seasons Otemachi and Shangri-La Hotel. In 2021, she released her original album titled "IGNITE - A Journey into your soul," showcasing her talents beyond the realm of yoga.

Juri's passion for an active lifestyle extends beyond yoga. She enjoys engaging in various activities such as surfing, triathlons, and snowboarding. Notably, she has completed a full marathon in an impressive time of 3 hours and 45 minutes. Furthermore, Juri has successfully conquered the grueling long-distance triathlon, the Ironman race, finishing it in 12 hours and 15 minutes. Reflecting her continuous growth, in 2022, she opened her second studio at Shimokitazawa Reload. Recently, Juri has been expanding her professional endeavors beyond Japan, establishing a presence in international locations.
